WYO Silent Auction!
The night of the WYO Winter Concert
Sunday, March 2, 2008

The fun begins! Search your attics; ask your friends, associates and favorite businesses for beautiful, whacky, delightful and/or useful items and services others might spend money on for a good cause. Donors will be listed in concert programs and donations are tax deductible! You can bring your items to the WYO parent meeting January 7th, or someone would be happy to pick them up from you. Read on.....

The Williamsburg Youth Orchestra's silent auction and 50/50 raffle to raise funds for instrument purchases and student support is coming! It will be held at the WYO Concert on March 2nd at Warhill High School, and will feature items and services from the business community, parents, friends and members of the orchestra. The WYO is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, therefore all donations are tax deductible. Donors who pledge items before February 25th will be listed in the concert program and all donors will be listed in the year-end concert program.

Items and service certificates will be on display and bidding will begin at 5:00 pm, 1 hour before the WYO concert starts, with additional bidding time during intermission. Winners will be announced and will pick up their items after the concert.

A 50/50 raffle, in which the money will be split between the winner and the Williamsburg Youth Orchestras, will be held at the same time. The winning ticket # will be drawn and announced at the end of the concert, and posted on the WYO website if the winner is not present. Tickets will be $2 apiece, $5 for three and $10 for seven.

Ideas for donations: Baskets of specialty foods, kitchen items, any small objects or products with a 'theme'; small new appliances; music lessons; gift certificates to local stores or services; items of fine art from local artisans.
