Yunseo Chung is an eighth grader attending Grafton Middle School in Yorktown.
She began taking violin lessons when she was 8 years old. A student of Arkady Heifetz, Yunseo won an honorable mention at the Williamsburg Music Club's Grants-in-Aid Audition in 2017. She also won 2nd place at the Concert Artists International Competition in 2017. Yunseo especially loves Russian music such as Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto and Piano Concerto, Rachmaninoff Piano Concertos with huge and majestic scales as well as a hint of darkness. She hopes to play Shostakovich Violin Concerto someday. Yunseo enjoys singing in the Treble Choir, her school's chorus, and she regularly plays as an accompanist at her church. In her spare time, Yunseo loves going on spontaneous trips with her family.

2017-18 Concerto Competition Winner, Yunseo Chung
As the Concerto Competition winner, Yunseo played solo with the Symphony Orchestra at the February 11, 2018 concert. She performed the first movement of Max Bruch's Violin Concerto in G minor.
